In 2007, as an homage to the very beginnings of Louis XIII, Black Pearl was created – the result of a close collaboration with crystal-maker Baccarat, and an unusual tête-à-tête between two sensibilities and two temporalities. The edition is an exclusive, individually numbered series produced from a century-old tierçon (blending cask) that contained eaux-de-vie ranging from 40 to 100 years of age. Only 775 of these crystal decanters were made, and the result is a true work of art.
