Jodie Kidd is electrocuted with one million volts in death-defying stunt for Kia
Model and car enthusiast Jodie Kidd has been electrocuted with more than a million volts as part of a death-defying stunt for the launch of Kia EV9. Sitting on a raised platform and protected from the electricity only by a chainmail Faraday suit, Jodie was able to control the electricity with her fingertips and shoot streams of lightning from her hands. She said of the experience: “Being electrocuted was one of the most petrifying things I’ve ever done – but also such an amazing experience. Not many people can say they have had a million volts through their body and been able to shoot lightning with their fingers!” The photography of the resulting “lightning” was then combined with futuristic shots of the model in front of the EV9, to emphasise the electric car’s ultra-rapid charging abilities.
